Micrium recently unveiled a comprehensive book, µC/TCP-IP: The Embedded Protocol Stack. Written by Christian Legare, vice president of Micrium, Inc., the two-part volume is designed to be a step-by-step guide for engineers that need to implement a TCP/IP stack in their embedded designs.

“While developing Micrium’s µC/TCP-IP stack, we reviewed all of the available reference material. Although many documents explained how IP technology worked, none covered how to implement the specifications into an embedded design,” said Christian Legare, Micrium vice president. “In order to successfully embed a TCP/IP stack, special care must be given to how it is built as this greatly influences capacity and performance.”
